i tried up, over, frontwards, backwards. i have the tank unstrapped. i have the filler hose off. it looks like i need a good 3 more inches to get it out. at this point i don't think i really need a fuel gauge. 1997 GSX. :(

Mine required partial removal of the steering yoke, and a STRONG man to LIFT up on the top of the doo, while I removed the baffle. I don't know how yours is, but this job only looks simple!

Remember, no cussing!

:)

Hope ya get it!

it sits a good 6 inches behind the steering column so removing that will be of no help. it appears i have to tilt the tank. maybe? i don't really need a fuel gauge. it's not to hard to look under my seat real quick. or just keep an eye on my hours. i'll never run it dry anyways.

That's funny!

That was really funny!.......because your right, we don't need the gage!

Mine was out for 2 seasons before I finally decided to fix it this off season...but I don't have to remove anything but my tow pylon (I have a boat).........
