New to seadoo ownership, wondering if these motors have the capability to be pull started if the battery is dead similar to the way you could pull start a snowmobile or outboard with a spare recoil cord??

thanks,

Thanks for the quick reply... my seadoo is at the lake, and it just came to mind, always owning sleds i know to carry a spare cord and if the recoil breaks I can always wrap a rope around the clutch and fire the engine! .. I guess the big thing is always hoping the battery works! (or carry a spare??) I had hard starting last weekend, so it got me worried!!

Guys quit bein so mean it was just a question hahaha. lol hey some people like to know that stuff just in case. I guess if you look at it like a snowmobile motor then there is grounds for believing its a pull start also. HAVE A GREAT TIME RIDIN IT

The ignition box on the engine would fire the plugs (not the battery)... most sleds are pull start and have no problems starting/running... at least getting stranded on a seadoo, it's not -30!!

Sounds like if i find a 40mph water fall, i could start it without the battery, just by popping the mystical clutch!!lol

Thanks chucked! Good to know... I bought a new battery today! What's the expected battery lifespan? 2 years?
