Can someone tell me what instrument this is?

I'm a the new (third) owner of a 2000 challenger 1800. I discovered this intrument gauge under the cockpit storage. One photo is taken under the steering wheel and shows a wire and mount of some type. Ideas?

That looks like an older Teleflex depth gauge...
any parts numbers on the body of the unit? was there any other parts with it, maybe a transducer?

The picture of the wire poking through... Where in the boat is that?

The depth gauge and perhaps an alarm of some type are wired into the the gauges behind the dash. A transducer wire runs to the stern and thru the transom where the transducer was cut off and removed. The wire you are referring to and a black circular piece come out from behind the dash into the driver leg space under the steering wheel.
