Man it`s hot hot hot down here and just picked up a new OEM Bimini, won`t be here for a week or 2.

I`m looking for pictures of what you have on your challenger 1800.

Thanks...

Only one I can find in my p-bucket.

Yep everything is included. Had good installation instructions, as well.

Been good and busy. How about you??

Andy,
My instructions said max speed of 35mph, but I have gone over 40 a couple times before with no problems.
We mostly use it when cruising or pulling the grandkids on the tube. My wife makes sure I go slow. Her slapping me on the back of my head telling me to slow down could be the reason for my bald spot...I'm just sayin'

we moved again, this time we are on the water, a lagoon/dock right in the back yard. hahaha to bad I don`t keep the boat in the water though...lol...

I have been testing slow speeds to see where she stays on plane and when it drops off... so far I can cruise 4500 rpms, anywhere from 26-27 miles per hour with 2 adults, 3 dogs now, and full tanks of fuel. and we`ve been cruising average of 30-35 comfortably. really is good on fuel before the Raves open...
I did test the engines today and was able to spin 7K on both, Thank God with all the new work that was done over the winter again... all new pumps with my solas 15/21`s, new SBT drive shafts and carbon seal kits, and now I have 2 spare OEM pumps (new in 2012) to reseal and set up with new wear rings...

The bimini shows up tomorrow hopefully, so I`ll see what`s in the plastic bag/box...

BTW, the new seating is awesome! the misses is comfy, the suspension seats work good!

Thanks jesse!

I don`t know what the hell the PO did but he screwed the pooch on the bimini mounting that was on this boat when I bought it, wow! It`s nothing like the instructions... I`m going to take some time and follow the included paperwork, PDF (from Bill), pictures, etc and lay everything out before I start drilling new holes...

I have no idea why the PO set the top in a different position and location...

one a good note, the charcoal grey is going to look saweet!...

OK, got it done today. Took my time bc I was investigating why the PO had set the first bimini top in a different location... answer, unknown...

followed the instructions and mounted the hardware as intended. It works as it should.
I just need to attach the strap on the sun deck and it`s complete.

but, there is a slight flaw with the directions, when they say parallel, parallel to what, nothing is straight and I`ve pulled more lines and marks to check it. the only really easy mark is the very first hole for the sliding track...
The plastic anchors for the rear support bars was a bit trying, but we got it done. whew...

here`s a few pics.

I thought I got it at a good price of 235.00 plus shipping...
I`ts OEM, and I never saw one in charcoal grey!

Thanks...;)

hah, it`s never done::D

I run full power with my tops up. If is secure... it shouldn't matter. BUT... you will see a solid 5 mph drop in top speed.

Thanks Doc! How ya been? and the new job?

I didn`t get much use out of the original bimini back in NJ, I remember it being pretty flimsy underway, and questioned those plastic pivots/sliders and joints.
now here in NC I`m looking forward to slow cruising with the top up... wish us luck...!:p

I'm looking at your trailer wheels and want to get me some new uns. Just painted the trailer yesterday and got new boards and carpet. Now the spot-rusted white wheels are the ugliest thing on it. Do you remember if the wheels are standard offset? I noticed the gap between the tire and fender well is already very close. Just want to make sure Shorlandr didn't use custom offset wheels.

Nevermind. Found some literature that says all Shorelandr wheels have 0 offset.
