It is a single ski trailer. Ski is 400lbs. I tend to take the ski and trailer to the beach, detach the trailer, push it into the water by hand until the ski comes off, then pull the trailer out to dry land by hand, again, and go skiing, and reverse the procedure to get it out of the water.
Of course, getting it out is MUCH more difficult.
Can I pull the axle and springs forward an inch or two to better balance the ski, so I can spend more energy pulling the ski out of the water, and not so much picking the tongue UP?
I am just afraid that it might start to swim on the highway if I move the axles, but I don't know for sure.
Picture included, in case that helps anyone...The tongue weight is currently about 50 lbs. So it can be picked up, but takes a bit of effort...
