C180 access panel

Newbie here... My C180 has a small access panel on the deck right in front of the engine hatch. I haven't found an explanation for it in the operators manual or the shop manual.

Hate to open it and have issues. Any one know what it is for?

Its access to the fuel pump in the gas tank.

It to access the fuel tank. You shouldnt normally need to get in there.

yup...

the seadoo is supposed to have a NON servicable fuel filter! so i wouldnt worry about it!
