Hi Everyone I am new to PWC and first time buyer of a 1994 SeaDoo XP. Now I have rebuilt engines before and I have not had alot of problems with getting a "C" clip out.

But I am being "schooled" by my new 650 engine. I need to replace one piston due to the "hole" lean mixture. But I can not get the "C" clip out. Before I take a high speed grinder to it...(No I wil not do that). Does anyone have a trick or two on how to get this bad boy out/

Thanks everyone for any info that you provide.

Well Well...there is an idea that I did not think of...thanks for the input....but I telling you what that grinder is moving closer to the piston its now sitting next to the engine...I will go shopping "grout pick" first.

Once again thanks for the quick input.

but I telling you what that grinder is moving closer to the piston its now sitting next to the engine..
lol..wrist pins were rusted so bad on mine, took sawsall to rods, so I can crack the case...

anything small and hard. i use finishing nails, very small screwdrivers, a tiny punch... on the other hand, you are throwing away the piston. new ones usually come with new clips and a wrist pin. fire that grinder up!!
