Buzzer is very quiet

Replaced with new from radio shack.

I get 2 beeps when lanyard is plugged in, but the beeps are very very quiet.

I jumped out buzzer to 12v and it works nice & loud.

Measured volts at wires, Im only reading 2v.

Also, speedo doesnt work, fuel gauge doesnt work, automatic doesnt work on bilge pump.

I am wondering if this is all relating to the MPEM????

i can't hear any buzzing on my boat either, but it is 15 years old....with or without buzz it stilll works.

If your voltage to the helm is low... check the wires for corrosion. The MPEM controls the ground on the buzzer.
