Burned a hole in the rubber exhaust hose today and the pipe that runs to the muffler had the paint burned off . the engine did not overheat it was just warm to the touch.

the ski died and would not turn over. an hour later it turned over and started fine. running lean? Any thoughts?

What do the spark plugs look like? I would do a compression test too, to be safe. Look at the water lines for a blockage somewhere.

the water regulator valve (looks like a RAVE valve, but on the exhaust halfway back) is either broke, stuck, or has a plugged up hose. that is almost always the hot-pipe-burnt-my-hose cause.
