Hi guys, first im new to this forum.

I have a BRP Seadoo challenger 1997 rotax 800cc, which I bought 2 months ago. Summer is coming and I want to get it all ready and working great before I put it on the water.

Right now the rpm and speed gauges are not working, when the boat is running ( which I can't keep running for too long because it's not connected to water) the rpm and speedo is not moving at all. I looked at all the fuses and tested them all. Does someone knows what to do or what to try.

Thank you!

read my restore posted under killer454-i fixed my 2 tacks and am really familure with the wireing.
both of my tachs had inline fuses in the main electrical box-both inline fuses where bad I had current before the fuse but none after the fuse.
I made a small bypass wire and jumped it around the fuse and one tach started working
the other tach I pryed the ring off of it and checked it out and could not see nothing wrong with it so I cleaned the 3 prongs that are inside the tach housing and it started working.fixed both tachs
one thing I found out if you are checking the fuse in the box that feeds the tacks and other things, that fuse will not powerup until you start the engine-I thought I had a dead fuse all the rest had power but not that 1 fuse-I hit the start button to start the engine and it powered up then.
keep in mined my boat is a 1995 speedster so im not sure about your boat but this is what fixed mine

Is there any way I can test my speed sensor, right now im trying to reed the resistance between both cables but I don't have any. Is it normal?
