while inspecting under my challenger i noticed in one inlet to the jet, that there was only half of the shaft protector remaining. and there is a little noticeable damage to the impellar but only on the smaller, inner fins. do i need to tear into it and put a new protector on? the wear ring is in good condition and the spacing between prop and ring seems tight. i inspected and changed oil in the jet pumps already. and with the little i have ridden' this year, there doesn't seem to be cavitation issues.
