Bow Compartment Speedster SK

I attached some photos for everyone to see the boat. Good buy, from original owner. Full service manual with all scheduled maintenance at the dealer it was purchased at. I’m a mechanic as it is, but it’s a nice feeling. Going to do some restoration this winter, I have a lot of goodies for it already. Wake tower, tower stereo, just to get an idea.

From my experience no one will be able to ride there unless they have lost their marbles and it makes it real hard for the driver to see. Sorry about your parents but at least you get 2 sweet skis out of the deal, I have been in 5 of my parents weddings between the two of them. The 97 does have the most desirable water box but the 98 is the mysterious light weight one. Matt braley said it was a racers request type thing where they used less glue and things like that because the new xp wasn't sorted out yet

Yes, you could get a bow cushion from a standard 99 speedster. That being said, it's not a seat for an adult. I have bounced an adult out of that seat'and wedged him between the consoles. Plus you can't see well at all. Now, that was my son's favorite seat when he was little and I wasn't going fast, basically no wakes zones. Seriously though, you need to consider your boat a 4 seater, I've owned mine since new in 99.

About your SK... I have a 99 SK and find that the hatch front is a great addition. We use it to store lots of stuff like the tubes, swim gear, and the miscellaneous boating stuff while on the water all day. I also inflate and deflate the tubes on the front because it gives a nice flat area.
My wife finds it is a great place to lay out, relax, and sun tan. we put our head and backs on the “wind shield” and can lay out easily with our feet over the front.
Lastly is my kids. They find that it’s the best place to do flips and launch them self’s into the lake. It’s a nice high platform to get crazy on. Also remember with the SK you get the bigger rear swim deck area too.
When we first got our SK I thought about the standard speedster and how cool it would be to have a 5th seat BUT now... couldn’t have as much fun in and on the lake without that hatch and oversized rear swim step.

Good info. I’ll keep hatch for now, I was just thinking ahead. I have already bought a wake tower and tower speakers. I’m traveling for work right now, but my gf has informed me that my parts are there. I will be there Monday to start installing everything. I’m pretty stoked, so stay tuned.

Did you ever get the wake tower installed on your boat?
I did get it on. I’m out traveling again for work now but I have a couple pictures. I’ll be putting together a thread for how I installed the wake tower and how I installed my complete stereo system. Was riding around in the boat the other day with my girlfriend and she started saying we needed a sub in the boat so that’s my next task. Some other things that are going on with this boat, me and my girlfriend have decided to make it our winter project this winter. We plan to repaint the boat, and change the color scheme so my threads will be growing as we get into October or so. We wanted to use it this summer then start working. I’ll post a picture of it with the tower on it though.
Sorry I didn’t answer the question. It is a Vulcan Boost tower. It is the exact same tower as a Big Air Ice. I purchased from eBay for a solid $477 free shipping.
