Boot on end of steering cable is mostly gone.

Will this let water into the hull, or just into the cable housing?

Without replacing the entire cable, can I add on the boot only?

If not, what can I do/use to extend the life of the cable if it doesn't have the boot attached?

I don't think it will let water into the hull, but it will eventually lead to corrosion into the cable, stopping it from working. Seadoosource has boot kits for sale, cheap..........
