blown piston- pieces in cooling system

I blew a piston recently and have taken the engine out; ordered a new one from SBT, should arrive on Monday. Tiny pieces of the piston made it's way into the muffler and I suspect cooling lines/hoses. I saw granules of the piston in the pipe entering the muffler and I found a larger piece lodged under the speedo where it enters the transom; next to the exhaust port (left side of the thrust nozzle)
I removed the muffler thinking I should flush all lines involved in the exhaust and cooling system. I can hear pieces in the muffler rattling around when I shake it.
Will this flush out on it's own?
What should I do?
Any suggestions?

I would flush it out if you could, just so it will be clean and fresh with the new engine. If you don't get it all it could just go out on it's own, but I wouldn't want to see anything get lodged in the exhaust.

Thanks, I got it out. "I think". I don't hear it bouncing around in there anymore.
Should I just flush the muffler with the garden hose while it's out of the ski?
The rest of it (exhaust hose) seems ok to flush out that way.
Just worried about the rave valve on the muffler, should that be removed before flushing out the muffler?
I've cleaned everything I can, hopefully I've gotten all of it out.

Dont think it hurt to leave in, considering that water flows thru muffler anyhow. Or, remove it, and check out the bellows and other items, see if no cracks/rips....
