face...unplug the yellow wries and red wire from the "yellow" 2in square look'n thing, inside that box. If fuse still pops, then need to replace the MPEM. Ur alright though, since they have those on ebay all day long, or you can get new aftermarket one for 150 buks.

hey im having the same problem every time i connect the battery it blows the 5a fuse.

i thought i need a new MPEM but i just did what you said it it didnt blow so does that mean i just need a new Rectifier?

alright...now, plug wires back together ,then try red or yellows, at a time, if doesnt pop, when yellows are disconnected, then you have a problem down in the stator assy (metal shavings in there, grounding it out), if doesnt pop, when red wire is disconnected..new rectifier.

ok i just did it and it poped both times. then i realized that i didnt have this( see picture) plugged in when i didnt it the first times so i tried again and plugged this part in with both the red and yellows disconnected and it blow the fuse.

i thought that this was for the charging system so why does it keep blowing my fuse?

i guess my MPEM is bad or is there a short in the charging system which is blowing the fuse.
