HAHAHAHA well I was out today in Victoria on Elk Lake and have a funny story to tell all you guys! I also posted a help ad to check about my studder on my unit for the first minute. Well here we go Machine finally running great I think of doing the tuck and go full throttle looking at the speedo I can see 60---63---64---66----68----69---70 then wammo seagull smashed into my face!! ahhhh first thing was what was that.. I looked back and saw a seagull wing in the water just idoling back to the dock passed the scene and not good!! I looked back could see an eagle wanting what I'd killed and left. I now have a black eye, big lump under my eye and my front teeth are loose! well though I'd share that one with you all and cant wait for summer!!

hahah he's talking celcius...5*C is about 41*F. He is still one crazy bastard for being out on a seadoo in those temps.

billman4u - quick question...what are you wearing to keep warm?

I know DCKD will agree with me it's been about -30 for the last week here in ontario. wish it was +5 out. Im still hopefull im going to have the boat in the water in late april

copy cat?

Makes me wonder if this is a copy cat thread of the jet liner that hit a flock of geese, knocked out both engines and they made an emergency landing on the Hudson river. All 155 people on board escaped. The worse injury was someone with two broken legs..........

HAHAHAHA I wear a drysuit!! great investment! If it rains I wear googles and wear snow gloves due to a Neoprene allergy(bummer). I ride all year up hear! Snipe and ya I did see that plane crash with the bird strike and just happens that my wife is in the airline industry and thats the first thing she called me when she saw my face! I do have pics if anyone wants to see the damage!

No........I believe ya.

No,.....I believe ya. Just one question then. If your haulin butt on that thing, what distracted your view from not seeing this thing comin at ya?

You sure it wasn't a "snow bird" that hit you in the face. I hear they can be pretty mean up north!.............

hahaha wow....I bet you don't see many other people out on the water!!

And hell ya we want to see the damage...post those picks!

I have ridden at 45 degrees F. Your eyes start to water like crazy and it is hard to see much of anything.

But there is usually nobody else on the water so you don't think you have much to look out for.

Geez...some guys will make up all kinds of stories to cover being beat up by their wifes...:ack::rofl:

Karl

ROTFL I'm going out Saturday, Island veiw anybody wants to join hahahaha? All the fun I'm going to have out there rippin it up! I guess back east all you guys can do is wait out old man winter to pack his bags and head out! If you run into one of these little birdies...you might need a 1/2 of beef for the swelling....

Ouch! Sorry to hear your luck.

Glad to hear you are OK for the most part...could have been worse!

I was out today and I am gun shy around birds now! hahahhaah Those things are dumb! Freezing temps at 70! Water that splashed on my dry suit was frozen within 1 minute of riding! Lake had a thin layer of ice in coves but I wasn't riding in them! A few buddys also came out so it was a good day! Next week ocean bound! Hope the birds #$%^ off soon! Don't know if I can take another bird to the face! Anyways, anyone in Victoria want to go out riding just P.M. me!

I hear you about summer I cant wait to get the sx and my r6 out. I think as soon as the ice on the river breaks I'm gonna put my sx in and test out my new wetsuit! Yeah during the summer when theres no other boats out I like to fly in to the huge patches of sea gulls. Not trying to hit any of course just freakin them out. Yeah i have been pretty close to doing that tho but I always manage to avoid them.

HERE IS A GREAT STORY kind of similar. Last summer we were out tubing behind the four winns. We had two tubes and it was me and two other guys on them. So my brother was driving and there was a couple of those animal loving girls with us. Anyways we see a big flock of geese floating and my brother starts trying to swing us into them. First couple of passes they moved out of the way in time. third one they must have n ot seen us and he whiplashed us into them going about thirty. I realized they weren gonna get out of the way so i pulled my feet up and the two tubes smashed into about 8 of them. I am not the type of person who takes pleasure in hurting animals but this was hilarious between the two girls screaming and seeing those geese the three of us on the tubes were dying. I think a couple of them didn't make it tho. I guess it is legal to hunt them and they are way overpopulated so. I will never forget the feel of those geese going under my tube.
