My latch does not hold! A couple of times the pole jumps out of the base after hitting a wave. Does anyone have a solution for this problem? It locks in place when I put the pole back in. I replaced the base last year and it worked last summer. I should not need to replace them each year. Next question is how to fix the gel coat scratches?
