Bilge Pump Fuse

I have a 2007 Speedster 150, and after heavy rain this week I noticed water in the engine compartment. I went to manually turn on the bilge and nothing... Checked the fuses and of course the bilge fuse is blown. There was another fuse so I replaced it and watched it pop after replacing it.

I'm assuming I need a new bilge pump? What else would you do before ordering your replacement pump? ( I did vacuum the water out and of course the drain plugs are pulled)

If you want to be sure, disconnect the wiring at the pump and then put another good fuse in. If the fuse blows even without the pump connected, you know there is a short in the wiring somewhere and the problem is not the pump. It's extremely likely it's the pump though.

Thanks! I think I will give that a try!

The SeadooPartsHouse doesn't have an OEM replacement pump. I don't really know what I'm looking for in a new pump. Do you happen to have any suggestions?

So, the pump housing is riveted to the floor right? I just ordered a replacement that was the pump only. Should I have replaced the float too?
