Best used ski?

Got my feet wet on a 96 GTI and a 97 GTX. Problem is there is always something going wrong. Yes, easy to work on but I am only @ lake on weekends and skis stay there. Looking to upgrade... what is a good year/model to shoot for in the $5k-10k range that can be expected to be fairly reliable with proper care and maintenance?

Depends on condition but you should find a better one at that price range.

2008 was a pretty good year vs other years. 09 and 10 have intercooler issues. Can’t comment above 2010 without looking at some notes I made but I’ve had a pair of 2008’s for about 8 years and no issues what. A 155 and 215 GTX’s

Ever thought of Yamaha? My friends have old yamaha's with no issues. My 1999 GTI has been nothing but headaches, so I went to get a 2016 Yamaha VX and walked out with a 2016 GTI, lol...

My suggestion is always 2007 GTI SE 155… have 320 hours and only basic maintenance and rusty hose clamps I need to replace, as they do rust and break in Florida salt water. But I would get anything without a supercharger that has been well cared for, if you can be happy without a supercharger. I also have a 2021 GTI SE 170 at 75 hours that has been perfect.
