What is the best PWC out there?

Now, this always brings up another question. How much money do you have to spend!

Well, I think we should break it down into several categories.

1.) Up to $1000
2.) $1-2000
3.) $2-3000
4.) $3-4000
5.) $4-5000
6.) $5-6000
7.) $6-7000
8.) $7-8000
9.) $8-10000
10.) $10,000 up

Now, I am a Category 2 or a Cat 3 user.

Within this category, what is one of the best values for PWC?

I am not brand faithful, or hung on any names.

I would just as soon run a Chevy, as a Ford, if it gave me better value.

So, what is the best value in each category?

I'd really be curious if there is a good PWC in Cat 1! :)

Check this out...GREAT INFO on HP to weight ratio

I have a 97 SPX and LOVE IT My Favorite ski i have ridden...

98SPX has one of the Best HP-Wt ratios the only ski that beats it is the RPX's

i would say if you can find a SPX it would be one of the best bang for you buck for a 2 seater that is extreamly fun!

I would think you could find one in Cat 3..
I bought my 97 SPX and 97 GTX with trailer for 4800
Both Low Hours...

I'd recommend the '99 GTX RFI. It does well on fuel (nice chart posted by Johnson, by the way... bookmarked!), it rides well, it performs well, etc. Dare I say I like the '99 GTX RFI's better than the '05 RXP?!.

The RXP is a ton of fun, but the GTX's are just more practical (if a boat can actually be practical!) and better suited for what I do and where I ride. A '99 GTX RFI is within your price brackets, too. :)

Thanks Johnson!

That is the kind of info I was interested in. Now, I'm curious about how it all stacks up against Other brands of PWC.

I have never owned a ski before this one.

Go Seadoo If you are going older mid to late 90's they are much better in my opinion...

I just found a used SPX here for 2500 OBO with trailer a bit rough though...
I think i could have picked it up for 2K easy...
But decided not to...
