Best place to get a battery for a seadoo?

Whats up guys,

Just wondering where everyone gets there batterys for there seadoo's? is there a good place online or do you usually just go to your local dealers?

Walmart!....

I know there will be a lot to disagree, but I use Walmart......that way, if it goes south on me, they replace it for free!.....

I'm confused. I have looked everywhere for a battery for my 2005 GTX 4-TEC and can't find one. I find plenty of 12V batteries for personal watercraft but, they are half the size of my battery. The only place I can find is my local SeaDoo dealership (which is a rip) who wants $150 for the battery. Everything else I find is a box the size of my battery but when I open, only half the box is the battery. The other half is an acid pack. I am told that will not work or not work well. My SeaDoo dealer told me I need a YB30. I have tried AutoZone, Sams, BassPro, WalMart, etc.
WalMart even has a small computer where you can pick the type of vehicle (personal watercraft) and then the make. They have every kind of personal watercraft imaginable except SeaDoo. They have Kawasaki, Honda, Polaris, Yamaha, etc. but no SeaDoo.
Are you guys getting the one with the acid pack or am I just way off? I am a newbie so, take it easy on me.

I have much older Jet ski's 95 and 97 not sure if this helps but i got the ones with the acid packs for mine...just put acid in charge low amps ( 2 amp ) for 8 to 10 hours and install...seems to work Great on mine turns it over fast...well the 95 anyways hehe still got to get the mpem in for rebuild...but yes wal-mart battery works Great on mine but i think mine has a smaller battery then yours....wal-mart carries 2 sizes...one smaller one and also one is a bit larger...wait ill look on boxes lol still got them...

OK size battery i got from wal-mart was ES16LBS this was the larger size and it cranks very well.....just very important to make sure after acid in to let them set with caps off for 1 hour then Start charge on them...instructions in box for people like me :rofl:...anyways hope this helped

Ended up paying 85 plus tax for mine, Went to a local dealer. I will never go back! TERRIBLE customers service and extremly bad Attitudes!

They told me to come back at 6 because it had to charge and I went back and they never ended up charging it! :redface:

anyways thanks for the help guys!... got the seadoo running ! Gotta make her smooth now!:hurray:
