best performance mod for 1998 seadoo xp ltd

Generally speaking.... Either a "Factory Pipe" or bumping the compression a little. BUT... be careful on the 951 engine. They are already putting out a bunch of HP for their size, and they don't live long pushing them harder.

no, the company is called "factory pipe", but like was said, the 951 is already near the top of its maximum specific output, so they don't last long once the mods go on.
 
i'm goin to agree with the rodent, prop first, then if your still disappointed, and only then consider spec pipe "factory pipe", arrestors and a rejet. the prop should be first on the list if you want to see the most performance gain for dollar spent.
remember that the term "factory pipe" means an aftermarket high performance pipe (and its dam pricey) a stock pipe is stock,
the company sure picked a funny name when they named it "factory pipe" :)
it confuses people all the time.
 
Reliability trumps performance any day. I'd rather spend 6 hrs on the water at 55mph than 6 hours wrenching for 6 minutes at 60.

How many hrs are on the ski? (dealer can scan MPEM to tell you). If you aren't getting 60 out of this ski, might be time for a rebuild.

i dont know the hours on the jet ski ,i didnt know you can go to the dealer and find out ,i havnt even rode it yet i am a quad guy loved jumpin it and rasing banshees but the grounds to hard now and im to heavy to hit it lol
