Hello everyone

Haven't been on the forum in over a yr. But to catch you up on what I've done. I've installed a 717 engine out of a 96 spx ski in a 16ft flat bottom boat. It actually has better low end than most outboard jets around here has. With 2 people it'll run 38 to 40 mph down river. Again that pretty good for these small, shallow rivers here. But out of curiosity was wondering if anyone had some suggestions on a impeller that might run faster but not lose low end? Also the biggest problem I have is the steering. It's acts like it just doesn't wanna turn the boat, of coarse it wasn't designed to do this. It's hard to steer, then if not careful, it'll turn all of a sudden! Was wondering if changing nozzles might help? If u think this question is better suited for the 2 stroke pwc, then just let me know. Thanks

compare how heavy the boat is to a bigger 3 seat machine that is around the same as your boat and get the same pitch from it is all I can think of. or get a smaller reduction nozzle to speed exit flow might get it over 40. a longer steering nozzle from a bit later model ski may help the steering. some pics please would like to see

Thanks for advice. I'll look into those longer nozzles. Sorry but I cant figure out how to load pics. Tried several times
