Wow you are very unhelpful, do you even know who I am, what I do, and how I do it? No you dont. I dont want some shitty harry homeowner clymer book, which I bet they dont even have released yet. By the way, premium membership is $11 and I will be able to download a book worth at least $100 onto my laptop. Can someone please check for me?

hey buddy with that attutude you wont get any help on this forum...... lets try this again and ask nicely and dont be a dickhead to the other members .... he was trying to save you money and time ...

2009 is the newest manual, so I guess we won't be "enjoying" your company as a premium member.

Lou

Good way to talk me out of giving money to this website. Now to go buy a clymer book that isnt in print yet and find out how to check my oil.

AND???????? whats you point sir this is your issue and you have alredy burned bridges on this site !!!!

I looked all over the internet and cant seem to find anyone with the 2011 books yet. I would guess most of the same things apply to the 2009 to 2011 models.

Chucked the 2011 books aren't available yet. We have 09 as the newest. We may be getting the 2010 books soon...

Yea, its very similar, a few firsts in 2011 but 2009 will be good enough for now. By the time my warranty is up it'll be out.

Relax people... we are all here for the same reason. No need to be internet bullies.

chucked,
It doesn't matter who you are or what you do. Before I even heard of this forum I used the Clymer books for *DECADES* for auto, marine: Seadoo, Yamaha, and Mercruiser. They have saved me lots of money and time. Loading it into your laptop is fine if you don't mind taking it to your work area in the shop or garage and getting the keyboard all greased up w/ fingerprints.
The people here are very helpful and patient with newbies. You have 145 posts to your name, I would think you know how to ask and say thanks when someone offers a tip. Good night sir chucky.

Hey SDBuddy, Plastic food wrap over the keys works nice to keep the grease off.
Chucked does need to tone down the 'tude. There are a ton of GREAT people here willing to help. But asked that way I'd just blow by the question w/o an answer. Lifes too short. Mean people SUCK.

true true ........... you attract alot more bee's with honey than with vinagar..... ummmmmm i think thats how it goes

Dang the drama. Lol. But the only thing I do not understand on this forum is the premium member stuff. I belong to a sportbike forum that is fully funded on donations from members. The site is somewhat self policing and all parts are open to all members. And yes they have how to and tech threads. Also have either links or manuals for full and free downloads.

But no matter what this forum is still a wealth of knowledge and you guys seem great.

Small rant over. Lol

I shouldn't reply but chuck needs help.
Chuck if you want to know how to change the oil, just ask that question and you'll get plenty of answers.

Not really sure why a full service manual is needed for checking the oil. Should be in the simple owners manual.

But the only thing I do not understand on this forum is the premium member stuff.

It's not cheap to run a forum, you have webservers to maintain, you need a decent interent pipe (that's another monthly bill). I'm not a premium member just for manuals. I kinda considerate it my annual donation, I spend alot of time on the site so the 60-70 bucks a year probably works out to be around 25 cents an hour ... LoL

I know it is not. at the other site I am a member of we have 4 mods and they spend pretty much all day and night working on the site. It has only went down one time but that was due to a full server change and it was only for a few hours late at night. Never ment to start crap but on the sport bike forum they do it all on donations and never charge for anything but T-shirts (that is the main money maker). They sell out every time they make a new batch. I was just wondering why with such a large group that you should put together meet and greet like a bike night but call it a doo night. And sell t's. We sell them for 10 bucks and make a heck of a profit that all goes to the site. There has got to be a sreen printer person ot t-shirt person on this site that can do it for like 4 bucks a shirt or a little more. We use quality shirts long sleeves and short and it runs from 4 to 5 a shirt to make. Have a member that donates his time and equipment to make them. Just a thought is all. Like I said not trying to start drama...

Oh I don't think your starting any drama or anything like that ... I was just kinda givin my $0.02 on why I am a premium member. On the Tshirt thing though ... You are onto something, I do have a T-Shirt from the forum from winning Snipes contest a couple years back. But selling them is a pretty good idea!!

I would buy one. Would be nice to have your ID name on it but that would require special printing on eery shirt.
