2 beeps is it recognizes the DESS key. 4 beeps means the control handle is in F or R and will not allow the boat to start until the control handle is in neutral.

Overheat, Pull the connector off the temp sensor on the head. One engine at a time so you will know which one if your boat is a dual engine

Must be a defective sensor. It sounded when I first started testing the engines, prior to them warming up. It has stopped sounding though. I will order two new temp sensors just to be safe. Thanks for the info. Actually, they seem to be kind of expensive. Whats the temperature they are supposed to trip at? I will test them rather than replace.

Not sure, I always check the service manual. I don't have to check them all that often, one of those numbers that just escapes me.

Speaking of service manual, what's the etiquette around posting links to free service manual downloads? Is that a fopaux on this site as it would not promote a paid membership? I have one to provide if its allowed.

You may google for it, it's out there, no need to post the link. We're all here to help, the subscription is to help keep the lights on if you know what I mean, getting a manuals out of the deal is just one of the perks.
