beep code help?

I have a 2005 sportster 150 with 215hp motor. when i plug the DESS key i get two beeps then a pause then 4 quick beeps and the 4 keep doing it with a pause between them. Number 2 cylinder is not firing going to try new plug tomorrow then new coil if plugs don't fix it. Does anyone Know if they are related or do the beeps mean something else.

Each cylinder ignition coil has it's own 10 Amp fuse. It is usually located on the port side in the engine compartment. Three years ago my Sportster was running on two cylinders and I tell you very badly and it was a fuse on number two. If this is your problem it is an easy fix. Good luck.

In addition to what rcguy said, you can troubleshoot the coils by moving them around to different cylinders. I'd do that before buying a new one.

Thanks for all the info... Drained gas and Changed spark plugs now engine runs great!
