All, I know the tender issue has been covered before, but I would like some clarification on 1 aspect of its use.
I have a second house by the shore where I will be keeping my 2023 GTI. It will be in a garage and covered. I plan on removing the negative ground cable and putting it on a battery tender over the winter. Because of the corrosive salt air, I would like to keep the ski seats on and cover on, but this will not allow any air circulation while charging.
Every "tender" type device mention allowing air circulation, so this arrangement makes me a little nervous.
Do these newer batteries even "off gas" not sure how it is possible since they are sealed.
Does any store their ski as I have mentioned above? Thanks for the replies!
