Hello I am picking up a 2008 SeaDoo Challeger SE tomorrow. It is sure to have a dead battery has the original battery and I would like to purchase a new battery on the way to pick it up for the sea test. Can someone give me the battery specs. or the best brand or size to buy? Thank you!

My Challenger is an 06 but I don't believe the battery has changed. There have been a lot of discussions on this forum regarding brands as well as different types of batteries (liquid / gel etc). you can probably use the search feature to locate previous discussions.
I don't know much about the gel type oter than they cost more.

Personally, I have had really good luck with an Interstate, heavy duty rv / marine battery. (others here swear by Sears Di-Hards)

Size: SRM-24...550 CCA....690 MCA....SPR

I replaced my original at about 5-1/2 years, the battery was still working well, but hot weather conditions where I live take a toll and average battery life runs around 4-5 yrs, so I didn't want to get stuck with a dead bat.

I also keep a Schumacher trickle charge / battery tender attached any time the boat isn't being used, that way my battery is always fully charged every time I drop the boat in the water. If you get a charger make sure it has a float switch built in, so it won't over charge your battery
