My Challenger is an 06 but I don't believe the battery has changed. There have been a lot of discussions on this forum regarding brands as well as different types of batteries (liquid / gel etc). you can probably use the search feature to locate previous discussions.
I don't know much about the gel type oter than they cost more.
Personally, I have had really good luck with an Interstate, heavy duty rv / marine battery. (others here swear by Sears Di-Hards)

I replaced my original at about 5-1/2 years, the battery was still working well, but hot weather conditions where I live take a toll and average battery life runs around 4-5 yrs, so I didn't want to get stuck with a dead bat.
I also keep a Schumacher trickle charge / battery tender attached any time the boat isn't being used, that way my battery is always fully charged every time I drop the boat in the water. If you get a charger make sure it has a float switch built in, so it won't over charge your battery
