Battery DryCell or Wet Cell

I am looking to purchase two replacement batteries for my 2 Seedoo's. Year 2000 GTX. I have been doing some research and I'm tempted to spend a few more dollars $92 vs $76 and buy the PC625 - Odyssey Battery. It is a Dry Cell and from all the reviews it appears that they are a great replacement with longer life, more cracking amps and reserve capacity. Can anyone comment on this or reccomend a web site for a good battery that will last more than two seasons.

I was gonna say 3-4 seasons is the most we got from wet batteries when they went into the house to stay warm in the wintertime - the gel or agm batteries have a good reputation and when they tumble over no fear of leaking with pets all around your feet.

I run an odessy myself, two seasons on it that I have owned the machine and who knows how many before me. I look after it and it looks after me. No problems to date.

Wet

i prefer the wet cell becuase i can maintain the water level and in the winter time i remove and take inside and put the trickel charger on once a month to keep everything fresh as far a sulfating... My last battery was a wet cell and it lasted 4 years until my ski would drain it and it finally died.

battery

I've have had an Odyssey drycell battery (PC680) in my aircraft for 5 yrs. now.
It starts a 270 hp high compression 6 cyl. engine. These batteries are much smaller in size than lead acid batteries of the same capacity. They can be mounted sideways or on end, no acid to spill or vent. I will never buy another lead acid battery again!

I can't remember a 2000GTX but my 03 GTX doesn't allow me to use anything but the Seadoo one unless I put some sort of spacer. There was an aftermarket one and it would rattle around.

Thanks for all of the advice. I actually went to the Seedoo dealership and they recommended the Deka ETX16L battery. They wanted $80 and I was able to get it online including shipping and no tax for $67. The battery is a Premium quality absorbed glass mat technology (AGM). Totally sealed. Hopefully this will be a decent battery.

Battery

I've used the DEKA ETX16L for years. It's a great battery. Some people get "charger crazy" and tend to overcharge batteries which will shorten the life of any battery. If a battery is in good condition and you just want to give it a charge to "freshin it up"...........charge it at 2 amps (or less) for 2-3 hours and it will be fine. Not 10 amps for 6 hours!
