Hello,

2005 Seadoo GTI Part 21 in the attached is a threaded bar that I found broke in the Air Box. What is purpose of this part when there is already a support bracket bolted to top of the engine and the air box? It seem overkill and not to mention a direct path to the carb intake for anything that breaks off.

Any thoughts on removing it?

Thanks George

21 is not a support, it is what the brace #16 and bolts #23 thread into. That engine vibrates a lot and that #21 is to make sure the bolts and braces stay secure or it will break the intake manifold. So yes it is needed and also use loctite.
