bad time just got worse

well i thought the pump bearing was toast so i pulled it out and they are fine still need to find the problem so i pulled the engine and looky what i found spun a rod bearing and pinked the rod in number one piston so i was wondering if some one knew how much is a crank kit for a 97 seadoo xp the cylinders are score free if that helps........ thanks

Look around and you will seem the cranks from $400 on up. Can this one be rebuilt? The rods run around $80 to $90 each depending on Brand and bearing kits are around $40 to $50 and come with the seals.

the rebuild kits are fairly cheap, but unless you are set up with a giant press and all the dies to hold the crank aligned, (means unless you rebuild pwc cranks for a living) you can't use the parts. you see new rebuilt cranks on eBay for $350 on up. with a 787, i wouldn't mess with a used one. the center crank seals are an issue. bearings could be fine but it could smoke like crazy. then the seller would say, "i didn't guarantee the seals". i was quoted $350 by a seadoo dealer for a rebuilt by seadoo crank. (717 motor) you might wanna check with them. a guy on eBay right now has a rebuild kit, crank-he says same bearings as OEM. WSM rods and WSM pistons plus gaskets for $429.
