I just had my muffler exhaust inlet pipe re-welded. The pipe weld was broken and the exhaust was leaking into the engine compartment depriving the engine of oxygen.
When I got the pipe repaired the welder also repaired the baffle inside the muffler. He recommended that I change the crank oil to be sure that no water was ingested from the exhaust system due to the bad baffle.
Does it make sense to change the oil? Is the a risk of water ingesting into the cylinders from the exhaust???
