OMG, that has to be the worst horror story i've heard. That's my absolute "dream" ski laying on the freeway. I didn't realize it was from an accident. From the pics it looks like they hit a huge bump and the skis bounced off the trailer bunks.

Whole story and resurrection of the ski is documented over on GH. That's the ski he won by being Seadoo's biggest fan. If you haven't seen his vids posted on his trip from FL to the Bahama's I HIGHLY recommend it!!

From what I recall he was hit by vehicle that didn't have insurance. However, don't take my word for it. Search for it over there and read up on it.

I read through that other link thread entirely and it says near the end that insurance was covering it whole...so
how did he get the wrecked seadoo back - or more importantly why when you are getting either the $$
or a new replacement seadoo?

If that is the case then he probably took the cash and bought it back from the insurance comp then bought a used hull, etc and rebuilt it himself.
The Insurance won't give you a new ski only the money for you to buy another one.
He probably made money on the deal but lots of work involved.
