at the river...need help!!

I have a 95 gts and i just replaced the wear ring. It had a solas 14/19 impeller and it cavitated badly when pulling a skiier out of the water. I put the stock impeller back in and the stock intake grate and its ever worse. Any advice??

i would look at the neoprene seal between the hull and the jet pump. my 97gts was doing the same thing replaced the seal and it was night and day difference. if there is no seal blue silicon is your best friend.

i used a foam seal not silcone. could this be my problem? i had a solas impeller and it did the same thing but not as bad. pulled the pump and put the stock impeller back in. didnt change the seal though.

if you used a foam seal and put it in where it seals at the pump and hull then that should be fine. sounds like the wear ring may hvve a groove cut in it or the prop blades could be saw toothed just a guess though. pics might help some other people on here.
