1998 speedster with twin 787 engines . Just bought boat couoke months ago and engines were rebuilt top too bottom two seasons ago and ran great when i bought it . But as u can prob tell by a earlier post week ago regarding a rave valve breaking too pieces and almost ruining my summer due to having too strip motor completely to remove all the chunks and inspecting every part of engine i am now pulled the valves from the second engine and cleaning them fully and inspecting them in hopes the probkem never happens again . So after cleaning the remainder 3 valves that are in tact with , carb cleaner , break cleaner and fine sand paper too get the think caked on soot off i noticed two of my rave valves ( sb pto valve and port pto valve ) What looks too be hair line cracks And a little ware on oposite side of valves from the cracks . MAybe im wrong but soon as i seen them i got nervouse due too fact the pieces i found in my engine from broken valve looks too be same thickness too where the crack meets the edge so i was wondering is this normal ware or shoukd i need new valves cause i dont kkow much bout valves but after the summer wrecking valve that broke off and shut me down for weeks so far im kinda worried here are some pics close up if anyone can tell if they really are hairline cracks or whst cause at first i thougyt was maybe a scratch and little soot in it but soon i cleaned second one up it was same thing abd third valve im unsure of as well amyway thanks
