I called a dealer here yesterday. What a disappointment. At first he said they dont sell boats anymore, and then he said he made a mistake, and that they do still sell SeaDoo, but no more Yamaha. He couldnt give me any prices either, which I thought was kinda strange. He didnt even know if a trailer came with it! I am in Phoenix, but would like to know if anyone has a dealer anywhere that they have had a good experience with that I could contact. If I decided to go new, for the right price I would have it shipped. If not too far, I would even go pick it up.

I sure will. I have been emailing a dealer in North Carolina that I found on the internet. He is offering a Speedster 150, 215hp for $15,599.00 + $599.00 set up/freight + $159.00 doc., Total $16,357.00. I emailed him back to ask how much for a trailer, he said "free". Does this price sound right? I was finally able to get someone here to give me a quote, and it was very different. Here they want $22,400.00 including everyhing but tax. It is the same boat as above plus bimini top, carpet, oar, anchor, 2 life vests, and your first service. Huge disparity in those two prices! I am trying to get an idea of what is a fair price. Here, there are three shops that sell boats, and they are all part of the same group. I cant even get ahold of anyone to give me a price. The price above was from a dealer in a small town on the Colorado River in far western Arizonza.

Does anyone know if you can ship these?

The price of shipping is real pricey. I would try to locate one in driving range and go pick it up. Most seadoo boats come with a trailer. The Bimini is extra and the full cover is usually extra too. If a dealer is giving a lot of items be careful of the bottom line. I have see dealers give lots of items that would cost like $500.00 separate but are included for $1500.00. Go to seadoo's web site to get the MSRP( Manufacture Suggested Retail Price) price and see what is included. Than shop around to see if the dealers are giving you a free trailer or if it is a charged item...that came with the boat for instance.

$15,999 for an *08* 150 with the 215????? That is the cheapest I have ever seen!!! I paid $18,999 with trailer-that is retail. No dealer in my area will budge off of retail prices. The $15,999 sounds more like retail on the 155 hp Speedster...

holy crap, I feel like I got yanked lol. Damn dealers around here don't budge on anything recreational like this- bikes, snowmobiles, boats, etc. :(. Should have shopped around a bit, damn impulse buy haha.

Dont feel too bad Kwiktsi. They wont sell me one here for what you paid. Around here everything is expensive too. I dont think I will be able to find anything close to this in my area. $6,000.00 difference between what I can find here, and what he is offering there. I wonder how they can offer it so cheap? It would cost me my time and $1,000.00 in gas to pick it up!

Well, Im getting a little closer to pulling the trigger. Have been speaking to a dealer here locally that can get close to the other deal. In the end, it is essentially the same out of pocket as the other deal when you factor in gas. Only this way, I dont have to drive across country to get it. The other dealer was going to get me a boat with the tower for only $400.00 more. Sounded like a good deal, so I am now waiting to see if the dealer here will match it. Also waiting to see what he has in stock.

I also wanted to say that this is a great forum. I have owned alot of cars, and been on many different forums, and by far this one is the best. Everyone is very helpful and respectful.

Well, im sure you will all know if I decide to do it by all the stupid questions I will be asking!!!

Everyone have a safe weekend.

let us know how the tower works if you decide to go that way. the tower on my boat does not come together properly at the joints where it folds down. i'm still waiting for a 'permanent solution' from seadoo for mine..

Well, called a dealer today to make the purchase. Since I have started looking at these boats, I was told that I could finance for 15 yrs. Come to find out, they only wanted to do 10 years, but said the absolute max was 12 yrs. and that was only because I have good credit. I got the 6.25%. I was so pissed I told them to forget it. I told them I was putting $5k down, but would finance the whole thing if they wanted me to. It is kinda funny though, because the salesman told me that this boat (its an 07) has been in their inventory for over 12 month now, and they are paying 17% interest on it to GE.

It was an ok deal I think. 07 Speedster 150, 215hp, with a tower OTD $18,999.00. Their prices on accessories was rediculous, though. He said if I change my mind to give him a call. Since they have 2 of the exact boat im looking at, and they have been there for over a year, I dont think I really need to worry about them going anywhere. I told him I was going to wait and see what the new incentives are on sunday. He said the next incentive will not be as good as this month since it is the beginnng of the season. Im not too worried about it though. Every dealer I have talked to has said they cant give their boats away. In fact, the company that owns all the sea doo dealers in Phoenix has cancelled all their boat orders at a cost of $1k per unit cancelled.

I had to call my other half back and break the news that we were not going to the lake sunday!

OK. I finally pulled the trigger. I pick it up tomorrow. Tomorrow is going to be a long day. I am driving from Phoenix to Corona, CA. to pick it up.

07 yellow 150 215hp with tower.

Ill post up some pics when I get home late tomorrow nite.
