I don't own a Seadoo (yet). Tomorrow I am going to go look at and possibly buy a 1995 Seadoo GTX. I have a few questions. My first main concern is that I'm a pretty big guy, so I need to know what the weight capacity plate says on it for the maximum. I ride my friends Tiger Shark a lot, but it turns in to a low rider and is unstable when I try to idle out to the lake. Once I get over 20 mph on it, I'm just fine.
The Tiger Shark he has is considered a 2 seater and from what I understand the GTX is a 3 seater and is 9 inches longer and a few inches wider.
My 3 questions (for now) are:
Will the GTX 3 seater be more stable with a lard butt on it than a 2 seater Tiger Shark at low speeds?
Are there any common problems with this model? In other words; should I pay any particular attention to any thing specific when I go to look at it tomorrow? I'm a pretty mechanically inclined person, so I know all the basic things to check and what's what and what things should look like.
Does $2000.00 seem out of line for a '95 GTX? From the pictures, it looks really nice and of course I will talk him down.
