Anyone else have little Kids? (getting ready for Xmas)

Hi All,


It must be winter, since this place is so slow.

Anyway... For the last few weeks... the focus at the Dr Honda house has been "Waiting for Santa" since I have 2 young kids. (7 and 2 years old)

For the most part, the wife and I have gotten everything ready for the big day. We decorated the day after T-giving... and all the shopping is done.

The kids have attended a few Christmas events. The nicest one is the party our local municipalities put on. (Police, fire, and Chamber of commerce) It's a big party with cookies, and coco. The local high school band plays music... and needless to say.. Santa is there. After the kids told Santa what they wanted... the kids received a coloring book, crayons, and a stuffed animal.

It's really nice for the local community to do this party... and it's all free !!!


Then, about a week after... we found a story in the local paper about the event. AND... in the center was a BIG picture of my 2 year old on Santa's knee.


Anyway... you guys only have 4 more days to finish up your shopping. So I hope you are done.

Nice idea by the city.

Make sure you save that issue with you daughter's picture on it to compare to her girls picture in a couple decades.
Kids grow up so fast so be glad to share moments like that one.

I don't have kids that age but we've got grandkids that age, they're really fun, it's what Christmas is all about. We probably have more fun with the grandkids than when we had kids that age, all the fun, none of the guilt. Merry Christmas.

If the Good Lord would let me do it over again, I would raise my grandkids first. It is soooooooooo much more fun.

We have 2 kids, my son is 9 and my daughter is 6. I can not WAIT much longer for Xmas. I LOVE watching them open their gifts and their faces to see what they get. I keep asking if we can move Xmas up, thankfully my wife always celebrated Xmas on the eve of Xmas, and I always did it on Xmas day. So now I get a double dose of it which is AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!! I can wait a long while for the grandkids, I'm still enjoying my own.

Well Christmas is officially over here at the Dr Honda house. New Year day is when the decorations come down.

The kids got everything they wanted but I got a computer melt-down. . In a way I guess it was good. Because if it happened at my shop, in the middle of the day it could have been worse. Also I've come to the conclusion that my work and play computers need to be separate. So, for now... I'll be working on a tablet for my personal stuff.

he he, we took our decor down 2 days after Christmas but we dont have little kids but i have a 32 yo special needs step son that has the mentality of a 6 yr old so we do it all for him. lol!
I've had my shops computer crash a couple times and sends me to panic mode as i do all my local parts ordering online as well as the use of Mitchell online for labor price quoting, (a multi tasker tech and service writer) i now have a backup pc just in case all programed plug and play.

We're all done here!!! My wife, a clean freak, had everything down, packed up and I put the stuff away in the attic the day after Christmas. December is kinda a crazy month for us, our anniversary on the 4th., Christmas, New Years, and my wife's birthday New Years eave. But the good news is we're done for another year. Now we're getting ready for a 10 day Caribbean cruise in a couple of weeks.

We put up a Home Depot bought Charlie Brown Christmas tree...

Nothing else.. Easy clean up. Remove the batteries as it plays the Peanuts song and slip it back into the box..

Done.....
