Well my niece did after about an hour of riding it for the first time
Anyway we got it off in a couple of hours
Lately I noticed that it seems to slipping & top end speed is down
Are the 2 related & how can I fix it without taking it in for service

Ropes and shaft?...

Everyone has done this.........including "mmwhah"...the smart one. My wife laughed her as* off at me. She thinks I can do no wrong. I told her I was human to, not God.........but no worry, we all have done it. Those that havent, will.

If your having propulsion problems, you may have stripped the splines on your shaft. The only way to know is to remove the pump and check. While the pump is out, check your impeller and wearing ring. You should have .040" or less at the centers edge of the blade and the wearing ring.

You don't say how fast you were going when this happened. If your at idle, the damage is usually just to the shaft guard.....but the faster you go, the more likely you are to warp a shaft.

yea the same thing happened to me last year and I think I spent about an hour cutting and pulling the line out. Luckily for me it was at an idle and it just cut the motor off. Didn't do any damage and thank god it was not an expensive line. My wakeboard lines range close to $100 and that would have sent me insane. I bet you won't let that happen again!
