i just purchased a 2012 challenger 180. It has 72 hours on it. First couple times out it ran great. Today it is throwing 3 error codes and the check engine light is on. P0171,p0172 and p1172. It is running fine, but almost didn't start. Any ideas? I was thinking spark plugs. I bought it from a friend who bought it new. Before he dropped it off it was at the seadoo dealer and they said everything was fine for the season. Help?!

Are you sure the codes you listed are correct? Every list I have does not list them.

I did additional searches as well and can not find them either..

Based on your chart, the CTS is the root of the code..

They fail often, it is likely that it simply needs replaced. Check the wires and the connection at the CTS..

What is the CTS? Sorry, im an accountant so I don't know a ton about these. Where is this located? Would this affect the boat not starting or starting extremely hard?

Where is this located? Anyone have photos? Is it an easy part to replace? The nearest SeaDoo dealer is over an hour away, so I want to try and replair this myself. I have some mechanical know how so I think I should be able to.

Thank you for your help! Much appreciated! Im having a hard time figuring out how this could impact the starting. I would also think a high temp warning would be coming on. But I will order that part and replace it this week and let everyone know how it worked. Again, thank for the help! I have a feeling I will start reading a lot more threads on here!

I would take a look at the wire and plug at the CTS first,,,

They are cheap and they do go bad, so no real loss replacing it.

i would look around online for the part unless you want to pay dealer price
