I have a 2003 Sportster 4-tec. I tried to remove my jet reverse gate support to get to my jet pump in order to change my wear ring this past week and found the 4 bolts holding my reverse gate on are "welded" to the reverse gate. I ended up snapping all of the heads off the allen bolts trying to remove them. Ended up cutting the reverse gate support off w/ a saw to get it off.
I boat exclusively in salt water & have noticed there aren't any zincs on this boat. Is there any way to add them?
I'm also replacing the reverse cable - is there anything I should be concerned w/? Or just folow the service manual?
