Has anyone had luck using anything other than Seadoo XP-S for premix on a Rave valve motor? Yamalube Motul or Elf ? One dealer said my ski would be fine on Motul, a friend uses Yamalube in his wave runner,

Whats the difference in the oil, so long as its fully Synthetic, as I can put up with cleaning rave valves from time to time if it saves some cash

Oil requirements...

The only requirements on the oil type you need for your 787cc engine is that the oil not be a TCW-3 or NMMA type oil. Any TC-API oil will be fine.

I personally use the Mercury Quicksilver oil for PWC's, which is fully synthetic and meets BRP's guidelines. I love it. It's a bit more expensive but I like the piece of mind, knowing I got good protection.

I think AMSOIL does international mail order if you want to check their website out..........

thanks, Is seems the only oils down here complying with API Tc are 2 stroke motorcycle/ go kart oil rather than being specially designed for 2 stroke marine. But i suppose an oil for a Rotax Kart engine should be fine in a Rotax marine engine......

Yes, you are correct. If you have API TC oils there, used in Karts, then use it. Oil is oil, the motor is what's important whether it's marine or land........

You mean you just don,t use it in Seadoo's right? just other brands and basic marine engines since it is a TC-w3 oil.
