Antifreeze Vs. Compressed Air

Hello,

After a month of living in denial, I have accepted that I will not get another ride on the lake this year. This is my first time winterizing. The Seadoo manual spells out specific directions for filling the system with Antifreeze, but isn't so specific about blowing the system with compressed air. Is there a preferred method? I would prefer air personally (less messy), but how much air, how long, how much is enough? I would rather fill with antifreeze if I am at risk of breaking something. Please advise. :)

Use antifreeze. It will cost you less than 10 bucks. There is always some residual water left in there. Why risk it?

Yep... use anti-freeze. It's impossible to get all the water out of a seadoo engine (under normal conditions) so... if your ski is going to see freezing weather... you want that water that's left in it, not to freeze. Also... it keeps the internal bolts from rusting solid.
