We have a 1994 seadoo xp. Just picked up a 1998 seadoo sportster 1800, paid $4700 cash for it!! Has new interior this winter, both pumps completely rebuilt this winter, both carbs rebuilt, and have all paperwork for it! It's needs a cleaning still these are pics from ad. But runs great and out on the lake seemed to get up an go about same as our last boat (1994 Procraft fish ski with a 150 merc). Also the SD has a 400 watt JBL marine stereo system(bonus)! And has brand new bimini!

Needs a few things. It was stored in garage so no cover, probably getting a Poppy. Needs a new latch for windscreen thing. Needs new latch for ski compartment, won't open without screw drivers. Need to figure out where to get those next. Otherwise it's good to go! I am going to try to run dual batteries for stereo, but need to research how to do that first. I think we will enjoy it. Is there a way to raise the ski pole? So ropes are sliding across the rear deck. Would like a little more low end out of it so considering doing 2 factory pipes, but not sure I want to cough up the $$$.

Just pull up on the pole. It should come up like a foot or so. The dual batteries are not that hard to do just need marine cable, battery, switch, and battery tray. On my Sporster 1800 I fiberglassed in some wood next to the OEM battery to mount the tray with screws. You can try to gule the tray down also. The tray is the hardest to mount. You can do the dual battery setup in stages to not mess with the boating season downtime. Remember don't jump start the boat if your drain the battery you will kill the MPEM which you can't buy anymore.

I pulled on the pole. It's not budging. Maybe I'll hit it with some on blaster and try then. I thought there was a release somewhere I was missing. Hmm.

1994 Seadoo XP 650. Factory pipe.

1998 Seadoo Sportster 1800 w/ twin 720s. Killer stereo, that's it.

It is just a clip system. I have the same boat I just pull up and hear and click and push it down when I'm done.

ok, i will try that...how high should it stick up? and should it go down all the way. RIght now it just sits so only the black part the rope goes around is above the deck.

It sits right below the level of the rear cover. Come up maybe 8" above the rear cover. I will look at mine when I get home.

I am also wondering where i can get a latch for the windscreen and floor storage. the latch for windscreen is listed out of stock at most places, and the one for floor is $90!! thats rediculous for a plastic latch. any other options?

also, the left throttle is really loose, if i let go, slips right back to idle, is there a way to tighten that up?

You can adjust the throttle by removing the levers and the adjusting them. The manual shows exactly what screws to turn. The latch on the floor should matter mine is never locked (I don't have the key) and it stays closed on its own. The latch is really not a latch justa lock with a handle I wouldn't work about that. The windscreen would be a tricky one I am sure the parts you can't get. you might be able to retro fit something. Also the ski pole sits about about 8" above the rear hood. I just pull it up and it kind of locks and when I'm done I just push it down.
