I've read many many threads on here for adding a 2nd battery on the C180. I've put 2nd batteries on many a boat so I'm familiar with the needs for switches and dual battery relays and such.
My question is what are all the extra wires coming off the hot wire on the OEM switch. Obviously the larger gauge wire is to the starter but if I"m trying to isolate the stereo and maybe other electronics should I just move that entire bundle to my dual purpose setup? Looks to be 3 fused hot wires.
My boat is a 07and I'm sure the number of wires varies over the years. Are some of those to the onboard computers?
Just trying to save some time from testing and tracking all these wires and or circuits. I'm sure finding the one to the stereo may be easy but I"m not sure what else would be in the circuit.
Any advice or how you did it?
EDIT: I should add that I"m not using a perko type 1 or 2 switch but in fact keeping the OEM setup and just using a combiner as needed. Such as th eBlue Sea 7649 Mini Add a battery: https://jet.com/product/product/6bc25bef17a543568f66361adeef7bf1
