I put Amsoil hp Injector oil in my '97 GSX (bottle says it is recommended for TC-W3, API-TC Applications)
I'm confused by the textbook answer:
"Use High quality low ASH API TC Injector oil.
Do Not use NMMA TC-W, TC-W2 or TC-W3 outboard motor oils or other ash less type 2 cycle oil. Avoid mixing different brands of API TC oil as resulting chemical reaction will cause severe engine damage. Never mix Mineral or synthetics oil together."
that says not to use TC-W3 oil. Is it that there is oil for only TC-W3 usage but Amsoil can be used for both TC-W3 and API-TC?
Also, I see posts from people using Amsoil Interceptor Oil. Did I use the wrong stuff or is the Hp Injector ok too? Should I get the Interceptor oil next time and if so can I mix the Amsoil hp Injector and Amsoil Interceptor or do I need to drain the oil (Again) if I switch to Interceptor?
