Aluminum Cable Lock Nut Question

So our 2012 210 has always had a considerable amount of water come out of the drain plug after we are out on the boat for a while. This weekend I checked a bunch of things and think I've found the source of some of the leaks.

I noticed water coming in from where the reverse bucket cable comes through the transom. I checked the carbon seals while the boat was moving slowly and saw no water leaking from either of them. Not sure if I should have been going faster to test this, but I'll try that next time I'm out.

I saw in another link that the stock plastic cable nuts are a disaster waiting to happen. The link provided in the thread was for an eBay item that comes from overseas.

I found another one that is slightly cheaper and made in Texas, but the part number is different.

Can anyone confirm if this will work before I order it? I'm assuming I'll need 2, one for steering cable and one for reverse cable. I did not see where I would need any others (we do not have the weedless system).

I know the reverse cable needs one and the ICS cables, depending on how many engines you have and if your model even has them, will need one also. The steering cable as far as I know does not need one, at least on my year 2006.

Jpass,
Another place to check is the pump intake. On the top of the intake, there is a black part sealed to the hull where the ICS and driveshaft are. On mine the hull cut looked to big, and there was a small gap / hole. I believe water was finding it's way in between the figerglass, as since I sealed it with marinetex, I have hardly any water in the bilge. Only 1 of the intake tunnels had this issue. I think I have a pic, I'll see if I can find it.
