Air in one oil injection line

1997 Challenger, single engine.

I have the boat up at the lake and did a test run to make sure everything fired up in the water. Not too bad..

I did the carb rebuild (Minkuni kit) and changed out the oil tank and pumped out the old blue oil. I ran the engine on the hose and added some oil to the carb throats so I could hold open the injector valve. Oil was inching it's way through both lines. When I finished, I had one tiny spot of air left which I figured would work itself out.
After the test run, I noticed that the PTO line has a very large section of air in it. Is this an indicator of a cracked or loose line?

Side question, when I has adjusting the idle on the trailer, I was shooting for 3000 rpm. The needle on my tach sits around the first dot, then 1, dot 2.. would the dot in between the numeral 1 and 2 be 1500 or is that 1000? Thanks

Is there any where else besides the the lines to and from the oil pump that could be leaking? A seal or something?

Usually it will be a cut in the line. You definitely need to get that bled out. I hold the oiler wide open with one hand while I hold a high idle and you should see that pocket of air fill with oil. If it's just not happening I'd replace that line.

Blue oil? That stuff clogs filters. Hopefully you replaced it or at least washed it out.

Swapped out a cracked oil tank and pumped out all the lines, replaced oil filter. Switched over to XPS. I'll grab some tygon and replace the injector lines. Thanks for the reply.
