Looking to purchase a quality dual purpose AGM battery. The owners manual says a Group 24 and with that style I just can't seem to find one locally.

I've looked at the major retailers in my area and it looks like a group 31 is similar in size but offers more CCA and reserve capacity. The stock battery is a cheap one and it always seems to struggle after hangin out on the lake using the radio while fishing. I really don't want the "is it going to start" in the back of my mind.

I'm a strong believer of quality pays in the long run. Any suggestion if the 31 will be OK and if so anyone know of a strong 24 that would be a good buy ?

An optima 27 or 31 series will both fit in place of a 24. I know they are good batteries but I think they are way overpriced. For the price of their battery, you could buy everything needed to add a 2nd battery from a cheaper brand. Then you will never be stranded.
