i like the tto, its held up well, and mine gets really wet at least once every ride, except when the weather is under 60 degrees, which is rare. I've been told that I like to chase my tail on my xp :)

also, the tiny tach is a tried and true product, that would prolly be my 2nd choice.

and yes ocod, I like having the hour meter, tells me when its time for a rebuild !

nick... didn't you try out this puppy once ?

I guess if you start a new build, maybe to see how long engine runs for.

Ill be happy to get another 15years

I want on board Bluetooth telememetry sent to my countour+2 and iPhone. GPS, tach, fuel ratio, TPS, etc. and I want it now!

first one does the job for 12 bux. I have one. works fine but has its limits. I use it for out of water setup/diagnostics from boat to ski to car.

Ok, so in my ever changing XP resto I think I really need(want) the TTO. The tach is cool and the hour meter is great, I'll be able to track the hours on the fresh engine. This is something that has pissed me off with my Speedster as supposedly the MPEM in the boats didn't log the hours. Does anyone have any pics of mountings? I don't have "open" bars I have the GSX style pad instead of the standard 96 XP bar pad. I'm thinking I can make a plate to reside where the info/mode buttons go, I'm also not a big fan of drilling holes but if I had to I would.

OK here it goes....
Yes I could not resist the fist one but it updates slowly and fails right away. I'd put it under the hood of your riding lawnmower to keep up with oil changes but no sun and rain!! I love the way even the one in the ad is out, they should read 0 hrs when they are new.

Next is the Tiny Tach. This one was my choice but they are a little more pricey than the TTO and I've had reliability problems. Yes I abuse them a little but they should take it. They are a good company that will help you but I hate being that guy calling with a problem wanting something.

TTO- $37.95 shipped and every single one I've bought is still going strong. Like Minne said, they update quickly and I can sure tell you they'll take the sun, rain and salt. I just pulled the trigger on two more last night.........now Spim shows that cool one I might rather have :nopity:

i have some pics of handlebar mounts, if you can be patient until tomorrow,,, pics of dash mount, handlebar mount, plus pics of a plate mount on the handlebar as well.

Yup it was pretty cool looking, but the tach function is so small its hard to see at high speed. It has 2 rpm lights that were pretty awesome once set up.

The problem with it was the speedo was not compatible, and I only got about 4 summers out of it before it died. For $120 it wasnt bad and its pretty awesome looking. They make a new more expensive one that has GPS in it..almost $300 bux though.

If you have a DESS post the guy lied...kind of. It only keeps one count so you cant find out what each motor had on it. But thanks to Matt, I now have the ability to program and check any boat MPEM that has the round connector on it. I should have a harness setup for the boat panel MPEMs in a few weeks.

so after reading some of your comments and doing more research i have narrowed it down to 2:

Tiny tach, and the TTO....out of those 2 which one would you guys choose and why? TTO supposebly has better refresh rate but is that the only thing i gain over the tiny tach other then it being cheaper too?

Doesnt sound like i can go wrong with the TTO, good refresh rate, the orange one is sweet, and the price is slightly cheaper then the tiny tach

I was more interested in how many total hours were on the Speedster. He said it didn't keep anything. The guy was one of the owners but hands on. I kinda figured he might not be up to speed on all the in's and out's of the programmer. I guess I'll hit the local dealer and just have them check it. When I take the XP in to get my spare key programmed I'll see if he'll check the Speedster fo' free.

Thanks Tonka

those look nice, that carbon fiber overlay is neat too. Where do you find something like that?

if your asking me, its just some cheap 3M stuff bought online about a year ago, we had a 12x24 sheet of it, and just enough left over to do my dash after a couple of "projects" it was fairly reasonable. not sure it was 3M, maybe some knockoff.

ok guys so i finally got around to installing my TTO tach on my 99' spx. What do i set everything too?

I have the smoothness of displace set on 'FAST'

I have the sensitivity set set on 'HI'

And Im not sure what to set the PPR to? 0.5, 1.0, or 2.0??

Also would you guys change anything else with my above settings that i (THINK) i have right?

I cant help with the settings I just did mine but font remember which settings I used. I can tell you if your rpms are double what they should be then your not in 2 stroke mode. I was hitting 13k rpms
